Description
The Model BRD is an industrial strainer with a fabricated steel body, containing a 304 stainless steel wedge-wire basket. The cover is bolted for easy removal of the basket if necessary. Inlet flow is at the top of the strainer to the inside of the basket. The backwash oulet is at the lower bottom side of the body, and the backwash blowdown outlet is at the extreme bottom of the strainer. Pipeline sizes range from 1.25"-8.00" with screwed or flanged inlet/outlet/backwash connections.

Applications
The "Ideal Application" is for use on the backwash outlet of automatic self-cleaning strainers. When used to clean the backwash flow from an automatic self-cleaning strainer, an automatic backwash control can also be furnished to permit intermittent regulation of the backwash flow. This control consists of the necessary motor operated valves, timers and pressure differential switches.

Hydrostatically tested to 1.5 times the working pressure.
